Fawn Mckay

Fawn MCK Brodie was born on the 15th of September 1915 at Ogden Utah. She was a member of the Mormon Church's very first family, Fawn McKay was able to direct her innovative literary talents and remarkable researching skills in the creation of the brilliant psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945, entitled No Man Knows My History. This title was inspired by the funeral sermon of Joseph Smith who was the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. His audience was shocked by his declaring: "You don't even know my name. It's been a long time since you've seen my feelings." Nobody knows my past. I cannot tell it. Fawn 29, a woman of 29 years old, said: "Since that moment of candor, at least three writers have picked up the challenge." Some have tried to make a clinical diagnosis. Documents do not lack however they do have a lot of contradictions. It is a difficult job to find these records, separating first-hand accounts from copies that are third-hand and integrating Mormon narratives with non-Mormon ones to form a cohesive mosaic. It is fascinating and informative. Fawn Brodie's career was devoted to this aim. Thaddeus Stevens. Stevens became immortalized through her works and the fruit of her studies. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge of the South Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon, An Intimate historical account (1974), posthumous.
