Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson was an American actress. Elson began her career on television as a child model and actress. Her most famous role was Alice Tyler, portrayed by Elson in CBS' science fiction series. Andrea was a candidate to play the lead in ALF the hit 1986 show. She was a finalist. The actress was on numerous hit TV shows as well as Movies of the Weekly for many more years before she quit the entertainment world to concentrate on her family. Andrea Elson played Lynn Tanner in ALF, the teenaged girl to Kate and Willie. In 2000, people reported that Elson found it difficult to develop as an individual woman in front of the viewers of sitcoms. The green-eyed New York City native grew in her travels due to the job in advertising that her father held. Before turning 10, she'd lived within New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. While in San Diego Andrea got an agent and won the first role she tried to audition for. Fusco defended the premise by saying "ALF is two hundred and eighty-five years old. He has the ability to drink beer, he's enough. But as ALF gained more popularity with children NBC told Fusco you can't have him drinking the kids watch because it's not a good role model. Although Fusco thought that ALF was an adult, he could do the same thing with alcohol ... death. In 1995 he was diagnosed with lymphoma, which was treated successfully and was remissioned until the year 2019. He passed away from the illness on the 26th of June, 2019, at the age of 75 at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood New Jersey.
