Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. Her modelling career began in Italy in Italy, where she was raised before being was born in California. Her acting debut came in the year 1996 with The TV film Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get the role she wanted on Starship Troopers. Amy struggled to make the shift into acting since models weren't considered skilled actors and generally were offered small roles. But somehow Amy was determined to keep going and stepped into bigger roles eventually starting with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. Amy was then promoted to lead roles in 2005's love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy finally got the recognition she'd been looking for since the age of 10. She did some big films in the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character on the Shameless series.
