Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen (born 6 May 1964) is an actor from Denmark. Danish actor. He is a Danish actor who has appeared as Troels Hartmann the Copenhagen's mayoral candidate in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third season of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was depicted in the American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. He was given the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011. When he was 27 when he began his studies, he was accepted into the National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated from that school in 1995. He also appeared in The Killing's drama. Then, he was a part of Borgen III and Those Who Kill as well as Those Who Kill. Both were critically recognized Danish drama series. He also played a central character in an episode of BBC drama Sherlock which featured him as blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen. In the American TV series House of Cards he played the President of Russia. In 2018, he won an International Emmy Award. His performance in the Danish television drama Herrens Veje won him an International Emmy Award. The show aired in the UK in the year 2019 under the name Ride Upon the Storm.
